Summer Festival of the Cultures
Celebrate cultural diversity for six days at Stuttgart’s Marktplatz! From July 14 to 19, 2026, the Summer Festival of Cultures offers free admission to 15 live acts, including Freshlyground, Cacao Munch, Oumy, and Son Rompe Pera. The festival brings together international sounds, regional talent, and a clear stand for open coexistence and against racism and exclusion. In addition to the stage program, you can look forward to a Market of Cultures, culinary specialties from around 70 organizations, a free children’s program, and a big raffle with a travel voucher from Stuttgart Airport worth 1,000 euros as the grand prize. Jazz Open – Stuttgart 2026
When Stuttgart resonates with jazz, soul, pop, and big summer nights in July, it means the Jazz Open is back. From July 1 through 12, 2026, international acts such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Teddy Swims, Katy Perry, Jamiroquai, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Lenny Kravitz, Moby, and MEUTE will fill the city’s stages with energy, emotion, and festival flair. Performances will take place at special venues such as Schlossplatz, the Old Palace, the BIX Jazz Club, the Fruchtkasten, and SpardaWelt. Bringing the music even closer to the city are the Open Stages, which will offer free concerts at the StadtPalais, the music pavilion on Schlossplatz, St. Eberhard’s Cathedral, the City Library, the Art Museum, and the BIX Jazz Club—creating musical moments right in the heart of Stuttgart. Street Art in Stuttgart
On this tour, Stuttgart reveals its creative side beyond the classic sights. Starting at the Haus des Tourismus, the two-hour walking tour takes you through colorful alleys, urban hotspots, and hidden graffiti artworks in public spaces.
Along the way, you’ll discover impressive murals, stickers, and stencils and learn just how diverse street art can be—sometimes political, sometimes poetic, and sometimes provocative. You’ll also get to know local and international street artists and gain fascinating insights into styles, techniques, and the creative process behind the works. Gen Z Rede(t)
Young voices, fresh perspectives, and authentic opinions from Stuttgart take center stage at the exhibition “Gen Z Rede(t).” You can visit this free exhibition at Salon Sophie in the StadtPalais — developed jointly by the StadtPalais – Museum für Stuttgart and Kultur Rabauken — through July 12, 2026. You’ll discover Gen Z’s favorite and least favorite spots in Stuttgart, as well as topics like the draft, drugs, mental health, and other challenges facing the younger generation. What’s particularly exciting: The exhibition was created by young people for young people and invites you to share your own opinions at numerous interactive stations. Additionally, street interviews offer insights into Gen Z’s perspectives and reveal what matters most to young people in Stuttgart.
Castle Discovery Day
Step back in time: Amid castle walls, monastic cells, state rooms, and arcades, the magic of bygone eras is still felt today, and every monument tells its own unique story. The Castle Experience Day on June 21, 2026, under the theme “Culinary Delights,” invites families to explore impressive sites such as the burial chapel on the Württemberg with a view of the Neckar Valley, Lorch Abbey overlooking the Remstal, the Ludwigsburg Residential Palace with its princely state rooms, as well as Favorite Palace, Monrepos Palace, and Solitude Palace. Depending on the location, the theme is interpreted in very different ways, offering exciting activities for every taste.
