Over the past few years, the Kessel Festival has become a staple highlight of the festival season and is now an integral part of Stuttgart’s cultural and music scene. With its diverse program, the Festival will once again offer a lively and attractive event for Stuttgart and the entire region. Top musical acts will create a great atmosphere and fill the dance floors on the main stage. In addition, the festival once again invites visitors to get active with numerous sports activities. Whether it’s interactive workshops, trying out new sports, or innovative projects focused on sustainability at the Übermorgen Markt—the Kessel Festival delights people of all ages and offers the perfect experience for every taste.

On the main stage, artists including Nina Chuba, SDP, Juli, The Lottery Winners, CARLI, and Tiffany Aris will deliver a varied program spanning pop, indie, and rap. In addition to the concerts, other highlights include the Sparda Sportpark, the family program, the Newcomer Contest, DJ areas, the culture stage, the street music festival, the Übermorgen Market, the Young Wine Village, and food and drinks. Gen+Z+RedeYoung voices, fresh perspectives, and authentic opinions from Stuttgart take center stage at the exhibition “Gen Z Rede(t).” You can visit this free exhibition at Salon Sophie in the StadtPalais — developed jointly by the StadtPalais – Museum für Stuttgart and Kultur Rabauken — through July 12, 2026. You’ll discover Gen Z’s favorite and least favorite spots in Stuttgart, as well as topics like the draft, drugs, mental health, and other challenges facing the younger generation. What’s particularly exciting: The exhibition was created by young people for young people and invites you to share your own opinions at numerous interactive stations. Additionally, street interviews offer insights into Gen Z’s perspectives and reveal what matters most to young people in Stuttgart.

JazzOpenWhen Stuttgart resonates with jazz, soul, pop, and big summer nights in July, it means the Jazz Open is back. From July 1 through 12, 2026, international acts such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Teddy Swims, Katy Perry, Jamiroquai, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Lenny Kravitz, Moby, and MEUTE will fill the city’s stages with energy, emotion, and festival flair. Performances will take place at special venues such as Schlossplatz, the Old Palace, the BIX Jazz Club, the Fruchtkasten, and SpardaWelt. Bringing the music even closer to the city are the Open Stages, which will offer free concerts at the StadtPalais, the music pavilion on Schlossplatz, St. Eberhard’s Cathedral, the City Library, the Art Museum, and the BIX Jazz Club—creating musical moments right in the heart of Stuttgart.
