“Golf Basics with Bernhard” – explained simply and for everyone
Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador and golf legend Bernhard Langer presents Educational Content Series
Stuttgart. – Golf is becoming ever more popular. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are increasingly shying away from sporting activities in enclosed spaces, preferring to be active out in the fresh air instead. Golf is one of the winners here. For the steadily growing number of new golfers, the luxury automotive brand from Stuttgart has produced an Educational Content Series together with Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Bernhard Langer. In “Golf Basics with Bernhard” the viewers are given fundamental knowledge on the topic of golf (link).
Bernhard Langer has been setting standards in golf for many years. As a professional player he has so far won more than 110 tournaments, including the legendary Masters twice. The 63-year-old has been at home on the golf courses of this world since 1974, and Mercedes-Benz has been accompanying him as a sponsor for over 30 years. In “Basics with Bernhard” the German golfing legend uses his decades of experience to address primarily those with little knowledge of golf and to explain the basics of the sport in a deliberately straightforward and comprehensible way.
During the five-part Content Series, Bernhard Langer is accompanied by the Mercedes-Benz EQC (combined electrical consumption: 21.3-20.2 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) . The all-electric car is the herald of a new era and thus precisely reflects what numerous new golfers are currently experiencing when teeing off or on the green: they dare to take a step and start something new.
In the Golf Basics videos Bernhard Langer embodies calm congeniality as he explains to the viewer in an easily understandable way the basics that new golfers need to pay attention to. He explains why there are so many different golf clubs and how to use them best. He also describes the various components of a regular golf course.
