Encounter its magic at the Treetop Walk in Bad Wildbad!

The fully accessible walkway offers unique views of the Black Forest Nature Park. At a height of up to 20 metres, you can stroll up into the treetops and into the home of squirrels and owls. With balance elements as well as interactive learning stations, you can immerse yourself in the fairytale setting of the forest. The path leads gently uphill to the 40-metre-high observation tower. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a unique view.

If you don’t want to walk back down, you can take a fun shortcut through the gigantic tunnel slide. After your outdoor adventure, you can replenish your energy reserve at a snack bar. Next door you will also find the Adventure Forest Sommerberg: 20 unique play, bouncing and climbing stations await families here.

The trail ends at ground and leads directly to the Hans-Eisenmann visitor centre. As forest air is known to make hungry, the ‘Waldwirtschaft’ and the ‘Café Eisenmann’ welcome you nearby to take a break and enjoy regional dishes. The combination with the animal reserve right next door rounds off an eventful day trip.

The accessible walk with its 39-metre-high observation tower shows you picturesque lakes, majestic mountains and the wonderful world of the forest at treetop level. The Treetop Walk top attraction in the north east of France!

Mystical woodlands, smooth mountains, peat bogs and shy inhabitants such as deer, lynxes and titmice are just examples of the rich amount of species living in the nature park Vosges du Nord. And all of that in a region that has long been hard-fought for – majestic castle ruins and military installations are silent witnesses. Nowadays, Alsace is a cultural and ecological treasure. And right in the middle of it all: The Treetop Walk Alsace arises, which brings its treasures to light on new paths.

Truly the highlight of the trail is its lookout tower, as high as ten floors. You will walk up in a spiral on a gently rising wooden walkway, which is also accessible and easy to manage for wheelchair users and families with prams. Once you reach the observation deck, you have a unique panorama: As one of the highest peaks along the foothills of the Vosges, the tower rewards you with a 360-degree panorama stretching across the Rhine plain, the Black Forest and the Northern Vosges. If you are lucky with weather conditions, you might even catch a glance of the Strasbourg Cathedral!
