Walldorf Rock’n’Roll Weekender
Non-Stop Rock’n’Roll – 3 days – 20 bands – 10 DJ’s
For 25 years, fans of the swingin’ 40s and rockin’ 50s have been meeting every year on Pentecost weekend (June 7 to 9, 2025) for a carefree journey back in time to the good old rockabilly era. This year’s event promises to be a feast for the senses once again.
Guests can look forward to a packed and well-rounded program of music and entertainment. For four days and three nights, five stages at a total of four locations (Astoria Hall, AQWA Water Park, School Center, Hotel Leonardo) will be filled with boogie, jive, rock ‘n’ roll, surf, swing, rockin’ blues, and doo-wop.
The traditional kick-off is on Friday (June 6) with the pre-party to warm up the Astoria Hall.
The authentic rockabilly quartet Susan Brown & the Ballin’ Keen will make their debut before the young Breton and Teddyboy star Yann O’Fender and The Town Rebels from Giessen take to the stage. The main act on Friday evening will be English superstar Darrel Higham, who will be performing in Walldorf.
Over the three days, 20 other bands and ten DJs and DJanes from Switzerland, Great Britain, Sweden, Germany, France, the USA, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Ireland will perform, including Mozzy Dee & The Booze Bombs, Billy Brothers Jumpin Orchestra, Alan Power & The Aftershocks, and Devils & Söhne.
The highlight on Monday evening is Les Greene from Los Angeles. He is known as the voice of Little Richard in the film “Elvis” (2022) and the Grammy-nominated soundtrack. He was the 2024 Ameripolitan Award winner.
For dance and music enthusiasts, there are workshops for rockabilly and gentle jive, ukulele, double bass, and blues harp, as well as for perfect vintage hair and makeup styling (some require registration).
Another highlight is the 50s market in the large sports arena of the Astoria Hall. From the right outfit for men or women to records and decorations to the right hairstyle or tattoos. Admission to the workshops and the 50s market is free.
Those who prefer originals from the era will find what they are looking for at the flea market on Saturday morning (June 7) at 9 a.m. on the lawn of the Leonardo Hotel.

On Monday, classic car enthusiasts can look forward to the popular Rust’n’Chrome Hot Rod & Classic Car Meet on the school grounds near the Astoria Hall. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the lovingly maintained and restored metal gems can be admired accompanied by the sounds of live music on the Hot Rod Showtruck free of charge.
