V8 roars, a lowrider show, and a lounge atmosphere beneath the submarine— the US Car Meet at the Technik Museum Sinsheim draws around 1,000 vehicles

Shiny chrome, the deep rumble of legendary V8 engines, and the scent of freshly grilled food: On August 1 and 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the heart of the American automotive scene will beat faster at the Technik Museum Sinsheim. Organizers are once again expecting a record turnout this year of up to 1,000 American vehicles, which will be on display in the outdoor area on both days, offering a fascinating panorama ranging from historic milestones to the modern power icons of today. Admission to the entire event grounds is free. Travel tip: To accommodate the large number of visitors, in addition to the regular museum parking lots, the additional large parking lots P9 and P10 at the nearby SNP Arena will also be available. From there, the museum grounds are within easy walking distance. All current information about the program and schedule can be found online at: www.technik-museum.de/us-car.

A Journey Through Time: From Classic Road Cruisers to Modern Powerhouses

Whether it’s historic road cruisers from the 1950s, wild hot rods, roaring muscle cars, or state-of-the-art American supercars—the variety on the grounds is unparalleled. Among this year’s automotive rarities are a legendary 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner and an elaborately modified 1931 Ford Model A Coupe hot rod. To ensure these treasures aren’t just admired while stationary, colorful car parades roll through the museum grounds several times a day.

Traditional vehicle awards ceremonies: Here, the proud owners personally drive their prized possessions onto the stage and share the fascinating stories behind their cars with the audience before the coveted prizes are awarded.

Bouncing Cars and a Breathtaking Parade:

Among the visual and technical highlights are undoubtedly the impressive lowrider shows. With their hydraulic suspensions, these artfully modified cars seem to defy gravity effortlessly. The “Red Queen,” a lowered 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS lowrider, is the scene’s star guest and is sure to turn heads. “This year, too, visitors can look forward to some very special highlights. The popular police car and lowrider showcase is planned once again, but there’s also a brand-new theme: drag racing. Visitors have a lot to look forward to,” promises Susanne Rieder, project manager of the US Car Meet.

Rock ’n’ Roll, TechTalks, and Relaxation Under the Giant U17

Those who want to dive deeper into the technology will find what they’re looking for at the TechTalks with StanekWorxX: Together with the museum hosts, the team of experts will shed light on current trends, extraordinary modifications, and technical tricks of the scene. An oasis of calm awaits guests again this year: Directly beneath the museum’s gigantic U17 submarine, a specially designed lounge invites visitors to linger and talk shop. Alongside the cars, the focus is on the lifestyle, making the event an experience for the whole family. While the youngest visitors can have fun in the KidsZone with a Formula 1 racing simulator, top-notch live acts on stage provide the perfect soundtrack. The lineup includes the bands “Rock’n’Roll & Petticoats” and “Sawyer – From West to South,” while DJ Nick spins the finest festival tunes during the breaks. On Saturday evening, the popular “Grill’n’Chill” invites you to wind down the day comfortably with cool drinks, good food, and laid-back beats among like-minded people.

A Vibrant Market Scene and American Cuisine

This iconic event is rounded out by a vendor row featuring 17 exhibitors offering everything a fan’s heart desires—from car care products to authentic accessories and cool lifestyle gear. At the food row, American classics and international specialties ensure everyone’s culinary needs are met. True to the museum’s motto, “For Fans of Fans,” this event is also organized by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Whether you’re a passionate mechanic, a curious family, or a longtime US car fan: the weekend promises an American way of life, extraordinary vehicles, and a festival atmosphere for all generations.
