The 50th Annual Homburg May Festival

MaifestThe Homburg Cultural Society invites you to the 50th May Festival

Friday 29 May, Saturday  30 May Sunday 31 May
The Homburg Cultural Society is once again hosting its traditional May Festival this year, featuring many live performances in downtown Homburg.

On Friday, May 29, Mayor Michael Forster will open the festival. Numerous food and beverage stands will offer a wide variety of options to satisfy visitors’ appetites. A flea market will once again take place on Talstraße. Children will find plenty to enjoy on St.-Michael-Straße.

The music program has it all again:

Two stages will be available for the open-air concerts:
Stage 1 on the historic market square, Stage 2 on Christian-Weber-Platz.

The music program is once again top-notch. On Friday evening, a big rock ’n’ roll party with KRÜGER ROCKT! will take place on the market square, while the band VULCANO will get the crowd going with Italo hits on Christian-Weber-Platz. On Saturday evening, DIE KONSORTEN will deliver authentic live music with energy and a guaranteed party atmosphere at the same location.

Starting Saturday morning and continuing into the afternoon, Talstraße will be dedicated to Saarland Road Safety Day. On the Market Square, the music program kicks off in the morning with a jazz brunch featuring the UNI-BIGBAND. The REVENGERS are the top rock act of the evening.

On Sunday at noon on the Marktplatz, the HAPPY SOUND ORCHESTRA promises music for singing along and dancing, while Christian-Weber-Platz traditionally belongs to the line dancers. The festival weekend will come to a close on Sunday evening with live music by THE RED COUCH and the band GOOD TIMES.

You can find the full program in the May Festival flyer, which will also be available online starting around mid-May (maifest.homburg.de).

The organization team of the Homburg Cultural Society will ensure that everything runs smoothly throughout the festival. As last time, all beer stands will once again be using reusable festival cups, as serving in glasses is prohibited. In this way, organizers and visitors are actively helping to protect the environment instead of using disposable cups. With the one-off cup fee, every guest makes a small contribution to the counter-financing of this admission-free event.
