AFN TV & Movie Schedules:

AFN TV schedule times are Central European Summer Time and are updated several times a day, however please be aware that the channel operators sometimes make last minute programming changes.

In order to make our TV schedule listings as accurate as possible, we post the listings only a day or two in advance.

How to receive AFN TV

There are three primary methods to receive AFN.

Cable:

If you`re stationed at a command that has cable television you will get one or more AFN channels over your local television cable. This is often available in family housing and single service member’s barracks. Cable service is typically handled by a local cable television company (in Germany this is TKS Cable: www.tkscable.com) who usually charges a small fee for AFN channels to cover their equipment and maintenance service costs.

Outdoor Antenna:

Some AFN affiliates broadcast AFN over-the-air. You’ll need an outdoor antenna above your residence and a wire connected to the back of your television to get these signals. Television transmitters are expensive and have limited range so you’ll typically get only one or just a few AFN channels. Microwave signals requiring a different antenna and a provided decoder are used in some locations. Check with your local command to find out what you need if you decide you want limited over-the-air AFN.

Satellite Dish:

The third reception method gives you the most AFN channels but can be expensive and requires some installation on your part. A small satellite dish and an AFN decoder can be bought or leased from your local military exchange depending on your location. The satellite dish size and the AFN channels available are different depending on your location around the world. Unfortunately not all areas of the world can receive the signal using a small consumer size dish. These areas are typically served by one of the first two methods. The setup guide will assist you in determining which satellite dish system is available and how to set it up.
